In analysing waxy crude oil and also in testing, developing and selecting wax inhibiting chemicals, it is of importance to simulate the real conditions in a pipeline. Our Wax Flow Loop provides full control of these factors that influence the formation of wax deposit:

  • temperature
  • pressure
  • and shear

Adjustable parameters as flow rate and shear rate, pre-heating and cooling temperature of the test pipeline are settable in wide ranges.
Test pipeline diameter and length are also adjustable: The test pipeline  is exchanged easily by loosening two Swagelok fittings.
The test pipelines provided by F5 Technologie have a guarranteed, constant inner roughness.
