Flow Assurance, Paraffin Deposition and Inhibitor Testing
In analysing waxy crude oil and also in testing, developing and selecting wax inhibiting chemicals, it is of importance to simulate the real conditions in a pipeline. Our Wax Flow Loop provides full control of these factors that influence the formation of wax deposit:
- temperature
- pressure
- and shear
- High and low viscous samples are pumped with high accuracy. Heated pump, pulsation free.
With the Wax Loop by F5 Technologie, the experimental approach to wax deposition effects and inhibitor efficiency becomes reliable and reproducible. And this at real lab-scale size: The complete rig fits onto your lab desk.

Adjustable parameters as flow rate and shear rate, pre-heating and cooling temperature of the test pipeline are settable in wide ranges.
Test pipeline diameter and length are also adjustable: The test pipeline is exchanged easily by loosening two Swagelok fittings.
The test pipelines provided by F5 Technologie have a guarranteed, constant inner roughness.
