Fluid Foaming: Gas Content in Fluids

A fluid's content of gas bubbles directly affects viscosity, density, compressibility and thermal conductivity. Hence, in many applications the foaming of fluids has to be monitored and controlled.

Some applications are:

  • gas bubble content in transmission and engine lubricants
  • adhesive sealing with glue foams
  • foams in food processing
  • development of fluids with enhanced gas deposition
